Following the success of the mobile food market in June, Project Compassion NFP, our Local YMCA’s, the St. Louis Food Bank, and Living the Word Church partnered together once again along with 38 volunteers that included students from several surrounding schools, members of HEALTHIER TOGETHER, and other local organizations to bring another successful mobile food market to St. Clair County. In the time of this pandemic, many people are struggling to make ends meet. This is just one way these partnerships are helping alleviate some of the stress of the day to day in this new normal for their community.
This team was able to put together and distribute boxes that contained 8,524 pounds of food to the community. Their efforts impacted 139 families, 448 community members total, through this single-day event. The boxes included a healthy assortment of dairy, vegetables, fruit, and meat as well as some essential hard to obtain items, such as masks that were donated by Lowes.

The next mobile food market will be held on August 7th, 2020 at Althoff High School from 10:00 am. These markets are ran on a first come, first serve basis until supplies last. Make sure to spread the word and share with your families, friends, and neighbors who could use the help.
