Healthier Together's Diaper Drive: Supporting the Metro East Diaper Bank
Did you know that 1 in 3 families lack the resources to keep their infants clean, dry, and healthy? To help alleviate some of this burden for our community members, Healthier Together successfully partnered with local organizations to collect diapers, baby wipes, and pull-ups throughout the month of June. This drive was done in support of the Metro East Diaper Bank, who services families living within St. Clair County. In total we had 16 organizations that participated as locations open to the public to take donations. An additional ten organizations conducted internal collection drives among their employees and clients.
A total of 18,183 diapers and 21,368 wipes have been donated to the Metro East Diaper Bank. These were then packed and delivered out into the community to help families in need. Cash donations of over $2,000 were also collected to help fund the diaper bank. We want to extend a huge THANK YOU to our local partners and community members who selflessly gave to help provide newborn supplies to our St. Clair County families.
